-to remain o to be?-

-to remain o to be?-
Nota d'uso
Il verbo “rimanere” si può tradurre in molti contesti con to remain. Tuttavia, quando è seguito da un participio passato di un altro verbo, come ad es. “rimanere ferito”, in inglese si usa semplicemente la forma passiva del verbo in questione, to be injured: Many people were injured in the explosion, molte persone sono rimaste ferite nell'esplosione; I hope they were satisfied with the trip, spero che siano rimasti soddisfatti del viaggio. In contesti informali, a volte si può usare anche il verbo to get: They got killed in the accident, sono rimasti uccisi nell'incidente.
